WHO IS STEPHANIE MARTIN?
BIO - Warm glass artist Stephanie Martin is known for her glowing glass fish jewelry and luminous sea life works of art. "Born of an artist and a musician, I grew up surrounded by arts and artistry. Living in the Florida Keys feeds my deep love for the ocean, which is reflected in my works. My specialty is dichroic glass. It really captures the natural luminescence of underwater life. After years of exhibiting my works on the art show circuit, I opened my glass studio in Islamorada, in the Florida Keys. I couldn't have found a more magical place in the world to both inspire and crate my works of art!"
"I'm a workaholic, so I'm almost always at my studio creating. I go through creative spurts and flutter from one design to the next. Art is very mood based and you can't create beauty if you're not in the mood to. Lucky for me I do it all so I've always got a huge plate full of fun things to make!
I'm also very fortunate to have my talented husband Edward in the studio working with me. He's a fantastic balance to my craziness and we work very well together. Also in our studio are our two pugs Matilda and Lilly. I mean, who doesn't want their fur babies at work with them?"
